The betting certainly didn't lie with 'twos-on' newcomer Edelmira impressing under Pat Smullen in the Book Online At TipperaryRaces.ie Maiden.
Following on from other excellent maiden winners for the His Highness The Aga Khan and Dermot Weld alliance this term, Ebeyina and Sinkal, Edelmira gave her backers and connections something of a fright at the start.
She went right leaving the stalls from the outside berth in eight.
However she was soon chasing Sabinillas in second. Edelmira took over two and a half furlongs out before asserting from over a furlong out. She crossed the line five and a half lengths to the good from the staying-on Toe The Line
Weld commented: "She's a very green filly and she'll come on a lot from it. She has a lot to learn and she only came to hand in the last couple of weeks to play herself on to the team.
"She'll appreciate an ease and she has good natural ability." (TW & EM)
