Lofgren made all the running for a cosy success in the three-runner McCarthy Insurance Rated Novice Hurdle at Cork.
Enda Bolger 's charge was sent off 4/6 favourite for the two-mile event after the earlier defections of Buyer Beware and Gone Platinum.
Andrew Heskin bounced out in front and his mount responded well when pressed by Next Bend three from home. The hotpot went before the last and ran on strongly for a nine-length success.
The winner was following up on his maiden hurdle success at Downpatrick in March.
"We were waiting for a bit of better ground. They have done a good job here, and it's just on the easy side of good. It's lovely safe ground,” said Bolger.
"We'll probably keep him going now, although Killarney will probably be a bit soon. We'll find something, and he'll go chasing down the road."
