Dustman scores on 2nd Limerick run
The Flying Dustman showed the benefit of his run here when runner-up on St Stephen's Day when taking the Limerickraces.ie Handicap Chase by two and a half lengths.
With the second last omitted and last bypassed after the fall of Margarets Girl on the first circuit, there was a very long run from the last fence jumped to the winning post and it was the Sean McDermott partnered The Flying Dustman that pulled out the most to beat Lion Valley and Colls Corner
Winning trainer Michael Hourigan, enjoying his second success of the Festival, said: "That's Sean's first winner for me. He is riding out for me in the mornings and I'm delighted for him. Annette McMahon had him and when she went to France she left him behind and told me to run him away there.
"My sister Mary owns him and his run the other day, when he was giving Monaco Springs weight, left him spot on for today."
Michael Butler, who took a fall from Margarets Girl, will undergo x-rays on a very swollen foot.
