Dick Dundee made use of a handicap hurdle mark fully 38lbs below his chase rating when winning the Low Low Handicap Hurdle at Cork today for trainer Paul Nolan and jockey Mikey Fogarty.
The son of King's Theatre was produced by Fogarty to lead at the final flight, staying on well for a length and a quarter win over Never Enough Time
Afterwards Nolan stated “I don't think he has as much in hand over hurdles as his chase ratings suggests (98 against 136) but he did well to win after having two awful falls over fences recently.
“He was travelling very well when he fell here two runs back and jumped a shadow when he fell at Fairyhouse the last day. I'd say we'll go back over fences with him now.”
