For the second race in succession Joseph O'Brien had to make do with second and third placings as his pair, Sea Of Blue and War Goddess ran up short behind Duchessofflorence in the www.pelican.ie — Party Equipment Rental Rated Race.
The sweet-travelling Michael Halford-trained and Conor Hoban-ridden Duchessofflorence got to the front a furlong out before going on to account for Sea Of Blue and War Goddess by three parts of a length and a length and a half.
"The win the last night gave her confidence. She travelled well and picked up well," said Halford.
"We'll keep going. She seems to be enjoying her racing and her confidence is good.
"We upped her grade before and she struggled a bit but when she came back down she won. She looks terrific, she's not even clipped, and could be a filly just turning a corner.
"I always thought more of her than she showed us.
"That seems a good trip for her, she travels comfortably. She got some very bad draws in the past and bad luck in running. That was the best draw she's had in a while."
R.P. Whelan, rider of Alnahar trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action about one furlong from the finish and was eased thereafter.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Alnahar, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be sore post race.
