Drumbaloo wins last for Lambe
The concluding race on this afternoon’s card at Down Royal, the Archie Watson Memorial Flat Race was won by the James Lambe trained Drumbaloo at odds of 100/30.
Robert McNamara settled the son of Flemsfirth in behind the leaders and took up the lead over a furlong and a half out before keeping on well for a three length win over 1/2 favourite Western Leader
Winning trainer Lambe said afterwards: “When Tony McCoy rode him, he told me to bring him back to Ireland he’s good enough to win over there. He’s got a bright future.”
