Dressedtothenines landed a gamble (11/4 – 2/1f) to win the Grade 3 Kerry Group EBF Mares Novice Chase at Cork today for owner J.P.McManus and trainer Eddie Harty.
Ridden by Grand National winning jockey Niall 'Slippers' Madden, the mare responded well for pressure in the straight and jumped the final two fences much quicker than runner-up Kates Benefit At the winning line, Dressedtothenines held a length advantage.
Afterwards Harty stated “it was a bit of a shambles of a race that last day she ran at Galway when Don Cossack went on and we just pottered around behind as we were never going to win and were never in danger of finishing third.
“She was entitled to beat these on her hurdle form and while we're not getting carried away, it was a nice prize to win.”
