Dream start for Carmody/Tinkler & Murtagh
A very happy Tommy Carmody & Johnny Murtagh

We all remember Tommy Carmody's multiple winners, Markskeepingfaith (went on to produce the very useful She's Our Mark) and Keeping The Faith (dam of Rileyskeepingfaith) in the late 90s and early part of this century and the former top jockey was back in the number one spot as the handler of Miss Mediator in the opening [email protected] Fillies Maiden under Johnny Murtagh.
In a dream start to his new association with Murtagh and big English owner, Andrew Tinkler, Carmody's successful daughter of Consolidator got the better of the front-running Translator in the final hundred yards, going on to score by three parts of a length with the favourite Atmospheric High a length and a quarter back in third.
Carmody's previous winner was Sunny Afternoon at Down Royal in September 2002 before he departed the training ranks.
He said: "That's great, fabulous. I thought we'd done enough with her at home. She'd been running over shorter in England and going up to a mile was a big help to her. It's a great start and I'm delighted to have a winner for Andrew." (AM & EM)
