The Lar Byrne trained Kims Dream (14/1) landed the Powerstown Park Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel this evening, scoring under a well timed ride from John Cullen.
The daughter of Antonius Pius, previously successful once on the Flat in 2011, was held up in rear before making gradual headway from three out. Cullen moved Kims Dream to the front on the run-in before staying on well to beat Driveheron by three and a half lengths.
Byrne is on holidays at present but his assistant Noel Dooly later stated “we weren't surprised really because all she wanted was better ground. We can only run her once a month as she's a typical filly!”
