"They don't win like that unless they're very good," said Pat Fahy, and who could argue with him as his charge Any Drama impressed when winning on outing number four, under Katie Walsh, in the concluding Fethard INH Flat Race at Thurles.
Always up there in the pace-setting role, the Gamut gelding left the Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Willie Mullins-trained favourite, Sutton Manor for dead in the straight.
At the line the Devon Partnership-owned five-year-old had no less than twenty two lengths in hand over Sutton Manor, with eight lengths back to Shanaway in third.
"We didn't have the confidence to ride him handy in the Land Rover Bumper and it turned into a sprint," added Fahy.
"Every time he's run they weren't proper races (insufficient pace).
"He could end up in the sales, otherwise he could run in a winners bumper at Punchestown as it's too late to go hurdling.
"I'd like to hold on to him. I had to sell Tara Flow and Eyes Of A Tiger and it breaks my heart to see them go.
"I'd love to be able to hold on to them."
