Presenting Doyen made the most of her opportunity when claiming the mares handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan after getting into the race as a reserve.
Cian Collins' charge had shown promise in maiden hurdles this year and made a successful start in handicap company.
She was produced to challenge at the last in the two-mile-three contest, by Denis O'Regan, and the 17/2 shot got her head in front on the run-in.
The Doyen filly stuck on well in the closing stages to post a three-parts-of-a-length victory over Fruit Blossom
“She had a few nice runs. She's ground dependent, she likes good ground,” said Collins.
“I thought Denis gave her a very good ride, it was a tactical enough race.
“We fancied her if she got in as the good ground and the trip suited her.
“We bring a lot of horses over to Britain and she'll probably go at some stage.”
