Downthecellar (11/4) followed up his Limerick win in the Tramore Tourism Handicap Steeplechase.
The Arcadio gelding, ridden for the first time by Rachael Blackmore, disputed the lead with the 2/1 favourite Carried and went on after three out. He was a little awkward at the last but wasn’t in any danger on the short run-in and won by two and three quarter lengths from Thisonesforollie (16/1).
Winning trainer Edward O’Grady said: "I'm really pleased and my owners (the Plumblys) will be going down the cellar again tonight! They will have another little party in Derbyshire.
"I'm delighted to have won two races with him. There are a few races for him soon but I might just give him an easy time of it now, we'll see how he comes out of this race. Obviously he'll go for something similar.
"He is a very good jumper and he loves the nice ground. It was the plan to go out in front, if possible, without cutting his throat to do so.
"Rachael carried it out to a tee and he jumped beautifully for her. She was very hard on herself and said that he got her out of trouble at the last. We are really thrilled with him."
