Dove proves hardy in bumper
The best finish of the day was left to last as Lonesome Dove emerged on top from a three-way finish in the bumper at Cork.
Nina Carberry hit the front turning in on the mare but she was soon joined by Special Token Perfectly Composed joined the mix inside the final furlong but it was Charlie Swan's charge, who benefitted from a vintage Carberry drive to score by a head from Special Token.
"She's tough and probably wouldn't have liked it quite as heavy as that," said Swan
"She's a progressive filly and is improving and improving. She'll go jumping a hurdle now. She's more of a chaser in build as she's very very big."
