The Mouse Morris trained Just Cause was the 10/1 surprise winner of the Paddy Power Best In Betting Value EBF Maiden Hurdle at Cork today, winning for in-form owners Gigginstown House Stud and retained jockey Bryan Cooper.
The son of Court Cave battled gamey when pressed by runner-up Listen Here from two out and in the end stayed on well for a three parts of a length success.
Afterwards Morris stated "he's a next year horse and is still a big baby. He jumped well and had a nice point to point run. He's wasn't really a bumper horse but goes on any ground.
The win was Gigginstown's 15th winner in the last fortnight while Cooper was himself doubling up having partnered Okotoks to win the opener.
