Doransfirth breaks duck for Kelly
Doransfirth opened her account with a convincing success in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Keith Clarke sent his mount to the front at the third last and she made the best of her way home.
The David Kelly-trained mare kept on gamely in the closing stages to record a two-and-a-half length victory over Mayday Frontier
"I was confident enough as this is her ideal trip. She has run good races and is just unlucky she hasn't won one before now," said Kelly.
"I had to get her wind done and I think that was at her a bit. She's a nice mare and will go over fences after christmas. Hopefully we'll get another hurdle with her.
"She handles soft ground as well and goes on anything."
