Doorock gets his head in front
Doorock from the Stephen Nolan stable got the better of a two-way finish when landing the Naas Handicap.
Conor Hoban was always prominent aboard the son of Redback and the pair just got their in front on the line to deny Desert Ben and Pat Smullen by the narrowest of margins.
A delighted Nolan said afterwards: “I’m delighted with that win, he ran well in Leopardstown the last day. He was thirty pounds out of the handicap and he was only beaten about seven lengths.”
“Niall McCullagh who rides him on all his work, said he was really back to his best and he’d get from between six furlongs and a mile.”
“We’ll probably go for something similar we’ll just have to wait and see what the handicapper does with him.”
