Dont Quit lived up to his name as he stuck on gamely in the closing stages to land the spoils in the mile handicap at Gowran Park for Jim Gorman.
Rory Cleary chased the leaders on the 16/1 shot before producing him to lead two furlongs from home.
He kept on well, under a strong drive, and held the final furlong challenge of Camile by two-and-a-quarter lengths to secure the victory.
The son of Bushranger hadn’t troubled the judge on three outings this season but had been runner-up in a Leopardstown nursery almost a year ago and had also been a decent fourth in a similar contest here previously.
"He travelled really well and was full of running at the two pole. He had good form at the end of the season last year,” said Cleary.
"Jim was very disappointed with him at Cork on Saturday, and thought he would run a lot better today."
