The Two Jays sprang a 20/1 shock when claiming the Ladies Day At Sligo 7th August Handicap Hurdle for trainer Christy Donoghue.
Alan Crowe held his mount up before improving to challenge at the second last.
He hit the front over the final flight and stuck on well in the closing stages to record a length win from Johnston's Best
Donoghue wasn't surprised by the victory:-
“I fancied him today because it was the first time he's gotten his ground.
“He had a little break and was fresh. I knew he was in great order and he had won over two miles here last year.”
