Donnacha O'Brien moved seven winners ahead in the Jockeys' Championship at Gowran today as the triple Classic winning jockey landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden on his father Aidan O'Brien's Erin
The 72 rated filly was today having her sixth career performance but showed plenty improvement when making most for an easy three and a quarter lengths win over Zarena
Afterwards jockey O'Brien, who now leads last year's Champion Jockey Colin Keane 58-51, later commented “she had a good run the last day. She's still a big, raw mare and she's improving away. She did it nicely.
“She's straight-forward, uncomplicated, so there was no point getting her in behind them so I kept it simple on her, kept her out on some fresh ground, and she did it nicely.”
