Invincible Don held on to make a successful switch back to hurdles in the second division of the Whitfield Orthopaedic Clinic Handicap Hurdle at Gowran Park.
John Morrison 's charge had shown a return to form over fences at Clonmel when third and confirmed that with a battling success today.
Roger Loughran produced the nine-year-old to challenge two from home in the two-miler and he led going to the last, where he was untidy.
The 12/1 shot kept on gamely in the closing stages to record a half-length success as California Soul and Whoyakodding pressed.
Loughran said:- "The quick ground is a big help and he ran well the last day. He's a horse that you can't rush. He made a hash of the last but in fairness he pulled it all out."
