Dolly lands double for Stack
Tommy Stack completed a quick double when Lolly For Dolly ran out a cosy winner of the Park Express Stakes at the Curragh.
Wayne Lordan tracked the leaders throughout on the 5/2 joint favourite before producing her with a run inside the final furlong.
She showed a smart turn of foot to pick off Gemstone and record a two-length victory in the Group Three.
"She did it well and travelled better today in the blinkers," said Fozzy Stack afterwards.
"We decided to put blinkers on as it was a good prize and she tends to hit a flat spot in her races.
"We'll go for the Gladness Stakes (Curragh April 3rd) next. She didn't quite get the 1m2f in the Pretty Polly (on her final start last season)."
The yard look to have hit the ground running once again after having a terrific day at the opening meeting here last year when saddling brilliant four-timer.
