Dolcita (4/5 into 8/13) was untroubled to make a winning start for Willie Mullins in the 2020 Tramore Annual Badge Mares Maiden Hurdle.
For the same connections as Laurina in this two miler in 2017 — Sullivan Bloodstock Limited, Paul Townend and Mullins — Dolcita improved on French efforts where she was third and second for Guillaume Macaire.
By Saint Des Saints, like well-known Mullins names, Djakadam, Quel Esprit and Burrows Saint, Dolcita left her rivals for dead from two out.
The four-year-old was never far away before accounting for Rescue Package by eleven lengths.
“She’s shown me that kind of ability at home. We were hoping she would put in a good run like that and she did," said Mullins.
“We’ll probably try and follow the Laurina route with her. She won this race two years ago.
“She will probably go to Fairyhouse next for the (Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle) Grade 3.”
