Doitforandrew enhanced his value with consecutive weekly wins at Dundalk today, landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race for trainer Andy Slattery and his nephew jockey Jake Coen.
The son of Ribchester was a Wednesday winner under Wayne Lordan last week and today followed up under 7lbs claimer Coen, stretching clear for an easy five and a half lengths win.
Slattery, who retired Sharjah last Wednesday, later revealed “we refused an offer for him during the week and I’m glad we did as I’d say we’ll get double it now.
“He showed a lot early on and then he lost his way a bit and we gelded him. He was gone a bit free but has settled down now. Cian Quirke is riding him out every day at home and is doing a great job on him.
“Jake said he was half-speeding the whole way and he’s obviously improving and going the right way.”
