Ger Lyons and Colin Keane completed a Naas double and pleased favourite backers again when Doctor Geoff (7/4 into 11/8) reigned supreme in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Median Auction Maiden.
The David Spratt-owned Doctor Geoff, up to a mile after a decent debut also at Naas, over six furlongs in early July, added to the Glenburnie stable's earlier gains with Sean Jones' Noivado
A gelded son of Fast Company, the winner settled the issue in a matter of strides from over a furlong out, going on to oblige by four lengths from Perfect Storm
"I was a bit worried about the mile but Colin was adamant all the way that it would be grand," said Lyons.
"He's a nice horse and we bought him off a lad who works for me, Charlie Green. He breezed him in Doncaster and we bought him off him on his recommendation, so credit to him.
"We bought Reckless Endeavour off Colin last year and this lad off Charlie this year. It's good for them and we'll go back and shop with him again.
"That's great. It's important to keep the two-year-olds running.
"Colin said he was very green so we'll just go home with him and there will be no rush."
