Miss Dishy (11/4) had members of the successful Street Wise Syndicate in fine voice following her opening race win in Limerick's PwC (Mares) Maiden Hurdle today, scoring for trainer Ciaran Murphy and jockey Eoin Walsh.
The Mount Nelson mare travelled well to chase 11/10 favourite Ma Bess into the home straight and, having led at the last, finished well for a four lengths win.
Prior to syndicate member Jack Moran's microphoned rendition of the Red Rose Cafe in the winner's enclosure, jockey Walsh had predicted “she is owned by a great bunch of lads who will have plenty of fun with her.”
He added “she had a good run over 2m4f the last day and coming back to two miles today, the stronger gallop played to her strengths. She will be a mare to look forward to next spring and summer.”
