Gordon Elliott and Paul Carberry teamed up with Dirar (another odds on favourite) in the second race at Downpatrick and this one duly landed the odds of 4/7.
Carberry guided his mount wide of Gudnis Gracious Me and Hidden Future going to the last and the pair came up the hill well to win by six lengths from Gudnis Gracious Me at 11/2.
Trainer Gordon Elliott said: “He has won an Ebor handicap so he was well entitled to do that.
“He might go to Punchestown but more likely to the Galway Hurdle where he has been third the last two years.
“It’s nice to get his head in front.”
