Dinamic lands the odds in Thurles opener

Miss Dinamic has proved a grand servant to connections this year, and she made it five wins in the space of four months when landing prohibitive odds in the Holycross Mares Chase at Thurles.
A victory margin of just over four lengths for the 30/100 favourite sounds comfortable but those who traded at short odds had a few anxious moments before collecting in this 2m2f event.
Ruby Walsh 's mount relinquished the lead when blundering at halfway, and needed to be rousted along to regain the advantage from the free-running My Betty at the penultimate fence.
However the Gordon Elliott-trained mare asserted before the last and kept on well on the run-in.
My Betty took the runner-up spot, with Jesmond Lodge a further length back in third.
Walsh said, "She is better with a lead and jumped with more fluency at Punchestown.
"She was a bit cleverer than I was at the first fence down the back and did well to stand up. Maybe she was (distracted by the free running My Betty) or maybe she wasn't but she stood up and that's all that counts!
"The ground is fairly quick."
