A Little Different produced a 25/1 shock when claiming the Kinnegad Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Keith Donoghue soon had his mount in the lead and he had his rivals in trouble before the second last.
He kept on well in the closing stages to record a convincing four length win over Substitute
The Seamus O'Farrell-trained winner was returning from a break, since last October, when his form tailed off after a success at Perth in September.
"I'm delighted with that - he loves that ground," said O'Farrell.
"He's coming to himself at this time of year and hopefully he'll pick up another one.
"It looks on that like he'll get three miles. We could go to Perth with him now."
