Dha Leath records second win for Cromwell
Dha Leath and Gary Carroll win the Gowran Park Handicap

Dha Leath won for the second time since joining Gavin Cromwell when staying on late to claim the Ladies Day July 23rd Handicap at Gowran Park.
A winner at Navan for Garvan Donnelly last season, the filly is still part owned by the Dubliner. Having got off the mark for Cromwell at Limerick in April, she then ran with credit when fifth on her next start.
On this occasion, Gary Carroll had the four-year-old tucked away in mid-division before delivering a challenge at the furlong pole. A tough honest filly, she found plenty for pressure and kept on strongly to see off her rivals.
Gary Carroll said, “She tries very hard, she’s a tough filly. She ran a blinder the last day on ground that was probably too quick for her in Leopardstown.
“That slower ground today suits her. They went a good gallop and she really put her head down and galloped to the line.
“She could step up in trip to a mile and a half as well. Hopefully she keeps improving.”
