Deserved 4th win for Red
Settle For Red (Connor King) eventually just held on from Political Policy

"He was very unlucky here two runs back and on that run was entitled to be there," said trainer David Marnane after Settle For Red just got the better of Political Policy in the Best Of Luck Dundalk In Cup Final Handicap.
The Connor King-ridden Settle For Red held on by a nose from Political Policy having always been to the fore. No Way Jack filled the third spot, two and three parts of a length adrift, having met trouble in running.
"I thought he got bogged down in the ground at Navan last time. We'll see what the handicapper does and try and find another one.
"He's creeping up the weights but has a chance of getting another one. That's his third win for us and he's been running well recently, knocking on the door," concluded Marnane.
P.J. Smullen, rider of Not A Bad Oul Day trained by Mrs D.A.Love, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle the surface.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Not A Bad Oul Day, trained by Mrs D.A.Love, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be Post Race Normal.
