Deegan's Lady in Dundalk surprise
Paul Deegan's Lady Fashion held the late rattle of Break Bread to make a winning bow in the opener at Dundalk, the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden.
This daughter of Oasis Dream is in the ownership of Jaber Abdullah and she didn't go unbacked despite a starting price of 25/1 after 40/1 had been availed of.
Kate Deegan, wife of the successful trainer, said: "She's a nice filly but we have no immediate plans."
Deegan said of Lady Fashion in a recent stable tour (April 2 it appeared in print): "She is a nice filly that came to me last year. She didn't run for us, but her work was good and she came forward a lot. Physically, she has improved and she could be a nice middle distance prospect. She is about six weeks off a run. She could be a nice type for the second half of the season."
