Dee breaks duck in style
Paddy O Dee got off the mark in good style when claiming the opening maiden hurdle at Thurles today.
Shane Jackson sent his mount on after the second last and he stayed on strongly from the last to record a three-and-a-half-length victory over The Big Mosquito
"He'll train on to be a summer horse and we'll probably give him a little break now before bringing him back for the early summer," said winning trainer Philip Rothwell.
"It's lovely to win a maiden with him. It's my first winner for Oliver Barden, who owns O'Donoghues Pub in Dublin. Hopefully it's the first of many."
