Decrypt learns a lot from debut to win on 2nd start

Decrypt (well-backed 6/4 favourite) stepped up a place from an encouraging second placing over the course and distance 13 days ago to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at the Curragh. Invincible Karma put it to them all from the front, but the Billy Lee ridden Decrypt eventually mastered that rival close home for a half length win.
Reportedly backed at prices as big as 200/1, Lady Kaya did very well on debut to be a further half a length back in third.
"He was green the first day and learned a lot from it," said successful owner/trainer Paddy Twomey.
"He jumped out of the gate today, but was still a little bit raw during the race and will probably improve from it again.
"I'm thrilled that he went and did it. He's tough and he's a horse to look forward to for the rest of the year.
"It's not my intention to go to Royal Ascot. The Railway or the July Stakes at Newmarket or something like that would be what I have in mind for him."
