Roseraie and Chris Hayes beat Slope

The opening 18 runner Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Fairyhouse today went to the last-gasp effort of the Kevin Prendergast trained newcomer Roseraie under Chris Hayes.
The daughter of Lawman chased the leaders but came under pressure in the straight, well adrift of clear leader Slope However, Roseraie found plenty for pressure and wore down the leader's advantage inside the final furlong, to edge ahead in the last stride.
Afterwards Prendergast stated “she was very green and hasn't been away anywhere and should improve a lot from the run. Her half-sister Rose Bonheur was quite good and Roseraie is in the Phoenix Stakes and the Moyglare Stakes – I'm not saying she's up to that but she's entered.
“I have 20 horses in training for Lady O'Reilly who is a staunch supporter.”
