Dawn Delivers made it third time lucky in the opening fillies maiden at the Curragh today.
Jim Bolger 's daughter of Dawn Approach had been runner-up on two previous starts but made the break through today when a well-backed 4/7 favourite.
Kevin Manning sat handy on the hotpot and she hit the front over two furlongs from home.
The chestnut was in control inside the final furlong and Manning was easing up at the line for a half length success.
Ballydoyle newcomer Magical a full-sister to Rhododendron, made eye-catching headway late on to finish second.
It was a first Irish winner for Dawn Approach, who was of course trained by Bolger to win the 2,000 Guineas and St James' Palace Stakes.
“That's job done. She'll stay further and we might look at the Silver Flash with her,” said Bolger.
“There are no easy maidens and they've been strong all year.
“The progeny of Dawn Approach are lovely horses to work with and that's half the battle.”
