Darcy doubles up on Ali
Jockey Mike Darcy completed a double, from his two rides, at Clonmel today when King Ali came home a 15 lengths winner of the Glenary Handicap Chase for Galway trainer Pat Kelly.
King Ali raced prominently throughout, led from halfway, before stretching clear for an easy win over Arkendale
Kelly later mentioned “the key to King Ali is to slip the field - Tony McCoy rode him in the past in England and mentioned that was the way to ride him.”
The win moved double scorer Darcy onto the six winner mark for the season.
