Dancer shows them the way from the front
Majestic Dancer like the opening winner, Triple Eight made every post a winning one in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden, for her local owner/breeder, Ballylinch Stud.
Kevin Manning was aboard the first-time tongue-tied daughter of Danehill Dancer and he made the most of his rails draw in fourteen. The chestnut eventually crossed the line a comfortable four and a half lengths ahead of fellow 3/1 joint favourite, Celerina The well-backed Toparch (8s into 9/2) was a further length and a half back in third.
Winning trainer, Jim Bolger commented: "She deserved that and the mare (Majinskaya) has a good record with them. Kevin was always going to make the most of the draw. The ground doesn't matter too much to her but she wouldn't want it any faster. We'll see what the handicapper does with her now."
