Daliyan came with a well-timed surge inside the final furlong to land the spoils in the mile-and-a-half handicap at Tipperary. Shadagann looked to be on top going to the furlong marker but was chased down inside the final furlong by Rodger Sweeney's charge.
Kevin Manning got a good tune from the 8/1 shot in the closing stages to get up for a half length victory inside the final 50 yards.
The winner had been fourth on his return to the Flat at Killarney last month having previously been campaigned over hurdles.
"He stuck at it well and loved the ground. He wanted an ease and a flat track and fortunately we got rain earlier in the week," said Sweeney.
"He did finish third at Galway last year and provided he gets his ground, could go there again."
