Dahlia lands quick Stack double
Blue Dahlia notched a quick double for Tommy Stack when claiming the six furlong maiden at the Curragh.
The filly was produced to lead two furlongs from home by Mark Enright and kept on well in the closing stages for a three-parts-of-a-length victory over Rock Medley
It was a third winner for apprentice Enright, who will now have his claim reduced to 7lb.
"I'm a bit surprised. She was working very well before Dundalk but maybe she didn't handle the surface or didn't like being crowded or something because it didn't go to plan," said Fozzy Stack.
"The kid gave her a good ride and didn't disappoint her. There is a six furlong handicap in Cork for her over Easter."
