Dabana justified her short price when claiming the mile maiden at Dundalk this afternoon.
Mark Fahey 's charge went to post a 4/5 shot having traded as big as 13/8 this morning.
She was given a confident ride by Jack Kearney, tracking the leaders before being produced to take over between horses a furlong from home.
The grey daughter of Iffraaj asserted in the closing stages to post a cosy length-and-a-half success over Relevant Range
Dabana, a former Aga Khan-owned filly, was making her second start for new connections having been third here 12 days ago.
Fahey said: "She ran great, it probably wasn't as strong a race as it was the last night.
"She deserved to get her head in front and it is nice to get her maiden win out of her. We will go straight into handicap company, I don't know what is left for her up here for the end of the year. If there is something there, we will keep her going.
"She probably wants decent ground (on the turf).
"It is great that Richie (Scahill) and Stan Begley both picked her out at the sales. It is her second run for them and she was bought very well.
"Jack is great value for his claim and we have been very lucky together. He gave her a brilliant ride and got the splits up the straight.
"I've one in on Friday (Daonethatgotaway) first-time out. He's a nice horse and he goes well and we are hoping for a good run."
