Cullen & King a match made in heaven
Johnny Cullen and King Of Redfield proved to be a match made in heaven in the Loughnagore Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan as the pair made most and beat off A Little Different by seven lengths.
Cullen asked for and got a series of fast fluent leaps from the chase debutant and the blinkered son of King's Theatre (that recently deceased stallion had another winner earlier with Kalico Kim galloped on in relentless style to beat A Little Different by seven lengths.
John 'Shark' Hanlon trains King Of Redfield for Mrs Michael Byrne and he said: "That was a good performance for a novice and he jumped brilliant.
"It was his jumping that won it for him. He'll go for a two mile six novice at Galway and looking down the road I think he could be an Irish National horse."
