Crowley back in winner's enclosure
Jockey Brian Crowley partnered his first winner back in Ireland since returning last January when guiding Fiery Oscar to win the Powerstown Desmene Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel today.
Crowley, who spent nine years in Britain and partnered 250 winners, had ridden a winner in England this year, for trainer Paul Flynn, but was riding his first winner in Ireland.
Following Fiery Oscar's win, winning trainer Roger Sweeney stated “Fiery Oscar ran well at Tipperary but would have preferred nicer ground. It was an average race and he's no Dunguib!”
