The Treo Eile Apprentice Handicap produced a thrilling finish as three horse flashed post the post almost in line but it was 10/1 chance Got The Moves who prevailed under Nathan Crosse. Is That Love (15/2) and big outsider Epaulawn (66/1) duelled for the lead inside the final furlong until the winner finished beat of all in the stands’ side rail score by a short head and a head.
Making a quick reappearance having finished fifth on the all-weather on Friday, the Andy Oliver-trained Vadamos filly had managed one placed effort in a Tipperary maiden in nine previous starts and was winning of a mark 7lb lower than the handicapper’s initial assessment of 74.
It was winner number 18 of the season for Crosse who said: “I thought I had just got up. I was very happy with her there today.
“I spoke to Ronan Whelan before and he said the main thing was just to get her settled and that she didn't have too hard of a race the last day.
“Ideally she'd like a mile but in an apprentice race today they went hard and it suited her. She didn't pull too much and came home well on the outside. Everything worked out well.”
