The 5/2 favourite Quick Suzy ran out a convincing winner of the Irish EBF Stallion Auction Series Maiden.
Gary Carroll ’s mount made all the running and stretched away in the final quarter mile to win by five and a half lengths from Doitforandrew (11/1). A daughter of Profitable, the winner cost E20,000 and built on a promising debut second behind Elliptic at Tipperary.
Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell said: “She was much more professional today. I couldn't believe that she was green the first day because we thought she was very professional at home. She obviously learned plenty from it.
“I suppose we might go to the six-furlong Group 3 in Naas for fillies on May 16th for a bit of black-type.
“I'd say she's very versatile ground-wise. We've worked her on heavy ground and she had no problem with it either. She's very straight-forward.”
