Cristy's gets his compo a week on
Cristy's Call and Ronan Whelan are too strong for Balmont Flyer and Pat Smullen

Cristy's Call was going to be right on the premises with a repeat of his 'just failed' runner-up effort here seven days ago. The six-year-old duly struck under Ronan Whelan, in the first split of the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap at Dundalk, to supply the in-form Gavin Cromwell yard with another winner.
Cromwell, on the mark with 20/1 newcomer Elusive Ivy, at Clonmel yesterday, sent out a much more expected victor on this occasion, as Cristy's Call went off the 7/4 favourite from around 7/2 earlier in the day.
The now three time Dundalk scorer, was a bit of a 'party pooper' this time though, as he got the better of Joanna Morgan's Balmont Flyer by three parts of a length. This is of course, Morgan's last time with representatives as a trainer, and Pat Smullen very nearly doubled up on the night, and supplied Morgan with a pleasing end, courtesy of Balmont Flyer.
It wasn't to be though, and Cromwell remarked in the aftermath: "I'm delighted for Ronan who was very down in the dumps after he got beaten last week.
"He'll mix it in the summer and may even go chasing." (GC & EM)
