Crane lands brace for Lynam and Lordan
Denny Crane ended a run of placed efforts to secure a quick double for Eddie Lynam and Wayne Lordan in the 1m2f handicap at Dundalk.
The Red Ransom gelding was stoked along to lead at the furlong pole and kept on gamely in the closing stages to score by half a length from Spring Hawk
The winner was sent off 5/2 favourite in a race which had seen money for third-placed King Of Aran (13/2 to 7/2) and fourth Moonlight Rock (12 into 7/1).
"He's been placed a good few times recently and I was thinking of putting cheekpieces on him. But he got there in the end," said Lynam of the winner.
The pair had claimed the previous contest with Tweedy
