Cothrom impresses at Roscommon
Cothrom Na Feinne followed up on his recent win at Ballinrobe when he took the Gerry Igoe Land Drainage Handicap Hurdle in good style under John Cullen.
The Invincible Spririt gelding who carried the colours of Mrs Jackie Bolger was in front early and edged clear of his rivals at the second last.
The pair stayed on strongly on the run-in to win by a convincing six lengths.
Winning trainer Desmond McDonogh said afterwards: “That was nice, he was good there."
"We were giving out about his penalty the last day but he’ll get into a better league now.”
“He jumped beautifully, hopefully he’ll go to Galway now. He might just creep into the Galway Hurdle.”
“He might run in Gowran Park on Sunday depending on how he comes out of the race.”
