Cooper wins aboard Jerry's Agent
Bryan Cooper recorded his first winner back since breaking his collar bone in Listowel when Jerry’s Agent ran out a convincing winner of the Elizabeth Jenkinson Memorial Novice Hurdle for trainer Lawrence Walshe.
Cooper who made all aboard the Imperial Ballet gelding kept on well from the last to hold off the challenge of 11/10 favourite Fingal Rock by a length and a quarter.
A delighted Walshe said afterwards: “He fancied him here today, he’s a decent enough sort and he wants good ground.”
“He’s been running well on the flat and this was his first run over hurdles since being brought down in Punchestown.”
“We will probably go to Galway now for the four year old Novice Hurdle on the first day.”
