Hidden Shamrock's September Navan handicap hurdle win is working out well with Underdefloorboards (4th) and Vic Chic (9th) scoring since. Plenty took the hint when the second from that event, Cool Oscar showed up at Thurles today and he justified support from 6/1 this morning into 3/1 from Leugh (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle.
Declan Queally rode Cool Oscar and he asserted from between the last two on the way to comfortably defeating Preswell Lad by seven lengths.
Paddy Hogan owns and trains Cool Oscar in nearby Templemore.
Declan Queally told Robert Lyons in an interview in Wednesday's Point-To-Point Weekly supplement in the Racing Post that he was just one win away from going from a 7Ib to a 5Ib claimer so that's achieved now. (TW & EM)
