Marsa (2/1f) gained consecutive Dundalk nursery wins this month, landing today's Crowne Plaza Hotel-sponsored race for trainer Eddie Lynam and jockey Ben Coen.
The daughter of Slade Power was a three-parts of a length winner at the track last Wednesday and today, rated 5lbs higher, scored by half a length from Obtain
Afterwards Lynam said “it’s good to get it. I don’t like running horses back quick but the way the programme is we had to take our chance.
“Ben said she was good and brave when he needed her. I’ve had a good few winners for Slade Power, he’s been good to me this year.
“She’ll have a holiday in the paddock now. Ben said she can go over six or seven (furlongs) but I’d say when she grows up a bit she’ll be more of a seven filly.”
